SRINAGAR, AUGUST 24 (TNR 24 Awaz): A purported advisory allegedly issued by Police Station Batamaloo, directing schools and madrasas not to hand over children to third persons, is fake, a senior police official confirmed.
The notice, which is being widely circulated on social media and private groups, carries the name of the Station House Officer, Police Station Batamaloo, Srinagar, and urges schools and madrasas to take precautions regarding the movement of children.
However, when contacted for verification, a senior police official confirmed to The Newsroom 24 – Awaz that the order circulating on social media is fake and has not been issued by the police.

Police have therefore advised people not to believe or further circulate the purported notice without verification from official sources.
The clarification comes amid the rapid circulation of the document across social media platforms and private messaging groups, where it had been presented as an official police advisory.
Authorities have urged the public to rely only on verified information and official police communications to avoid confusion and unnecessary panic.
