Srinagar, September 9: Traffic Police City Srinagar has issued a traffic advisory in view of the oath-taking ceremony of Dr. Justice Pushpendra Singh Bhati as the Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, scheduled to be held today.
The ceremony will take place at 11:00 AM at the Shalimar Convention Centre, SKUAST Kashmir, Srinagar.
According to the advisory, motorists travelling from Harwan, Shalimar, Nishat and adjoining areas towards Lal Chowk have been advised to use the Foreshore Road route to reach their destinations.
Similarly, commuters travelling towards Nishat, Shalimar and Harwan have been advised to take the Foreshore Road via Shalimar Bridge.
Traffic Police said that no vehicle will be permitted towards SKUAST Kashmir, while movement towards Shalimar via Ishber will also remain restricted during the period.
The traffic restrictions will remain in force for two hours, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon on September 9, or until the oath ceremony is completed.
However, emergency vehicles will be permitted to take the shortest possible route, the advisory said.
