Jammu, September 7: BJP leader Ravinder Raina has said that an allegedly fake and edited photo and video clip being circulated has prompted police action, with an FIR registered in connection with the matter.
In a post shared on social media, Raina said that the photo and video clip being circulated were “fake/edited” and that the matter had been registered with the Cyber Crime authorities.
He further stated that the video clip has been sent to a forensic laboratory for examination to establish its authenticity and determine whether it was digitally manipulated.
The development comes amid growing concerns over the circulation of edited and misleading content on social media platforms. A forensic examination is expected to help investigators determine the origin and authenticity of the disputed material.
