Poonch, August 26: At least six people are feared dead and several others injured after a vehicle met with a serious road accident in the Surankote area of Poonch district on Wednesday evening, officials said.
According to officials, the accident took place near the Shiendra area of Surankote. At least six persons are feared to have died in the accident, while four to five others reportedly sustained injuries.
The injured were shifted to a nearby health facility for treatment. The condition of the injured is not immediately known.
Police and other concerned agencies have reached the spot, and further details regarding the circumstances of the accident and the identities of the victims are awaited.
