Jammu, April 14:
Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha on Tuesday attended the upgradation ceremony of ‘Apna Bhojanalaya,’ a prominent community kitchen located at Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu. The facility, operated by Sewa Bharti with the support of J&K Bank and various private donors, serves as a vital lifeline for patients and their attendants.
During the event, the Lieutenant Governor partook in a meal at the kitchen and lauded the selfless efforts of the volunteers and donors who have sustained this humanitarian mission.
“Humanity at its Finest”
Addressing the gathering, LG Sinha emphasized that serving food to the hungry is one of the most sacred acts a human can perform. He noted that such initiatives do more than just provide nourishment; they uphold the dignity of human life.
“To strengthen Apna Bhojanalaya is to strengthen the very fabric of our society. When a hand extends in need and another rises in nurture, divine grace moves quietly between them,” the LG remarked.
