Jammu, March 10:
The J&K BJP OBC Morcha, led by State President Braham Jyot Satti, organized a commemorative event at the party headquarters in Trikuta Nagar today to pay rich tributes to the iconic social reformer Savitribai Phule on her death anniversary (Punyatithi).
The event saw a gathering of high-ranking party officials, including J&K BJP General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul, who led the floral tributes to the portrait of the woman widely regarded as the pioneer of women’s education in India.
“A Life of Courage and Reform”
Addressing the gathering, Ashok Koul highlighted Phule’s relentless struggle against caste discrimination and gender inequality. He noted that her efforts laid the foundation for modern social justice at a time when educating women was considered a social taboo.

He further emphasized that the BJP remains committed to her vision of inclusive development, specifically focusing on the empowerment of OBCs, women, and weaker sections of society.
