Jammu, January 29:
In a move to consolidate its presence ahead of upcoming organizational challenges, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) OBC Morcha held a high-profile felicitation ceremony at the party headquarters in Kachi Chawni today. The event served a dual purpose: honoring the newly appointed District Jammu team and outlining a robust “booth-level” roadmap to strengthen the party’s base.
Leaders Unite to Honor New Leadership
The ceremony saw the participation of top-tier BJP leadership, emphasizing the strategic importance of the OBC Morcha in the region’s political landscape. Key dignitaries who led the felicitation included: Shri Yudhvir Sethi (MLA, Jammu East), Shri Arvind Gupta (MLA, Jammu West), Shri Rajesh Gupta (District President, Jammu) and Shri Braham Jyot Satti (State President, BJP OBC Morcha).
The program, organized by the newly appointed District President of the OBC Morcha, Arun Sethi, also featured senior state office bearers including Sunny Sagotra (State General Secretary), Ashok Salgotra (State Secretary), Rampal (State Treasurer), and Vinod Choudhary (Publicity Secretary).
Strategic Roadmap: Focus on “Booth Strengthening”
Beyond the celebrations, the event transitioned into a tactical organizational meeting. MLAs Yudhvir Sethi and Arvind Gupta laid out a clear mandate for the new team: Inclusive development and direct community engagement.
“The OBC Morcha is the bridge between the government’s welfare schemes and the grassroots population,” the leaders remarked. “Success in Jammu District will depend on your ability to work as a responsive link between the public and the leadership at every ward and booth level.”
Core Strategic Pillars discussed:
-
Booth-Level Mobilization: Strengthening the foundation by empowering workers at the smallest electoral units.
-
Community Outreach: Direct engagement with OBC communities to ensure effective delivery of welfare-centric policies.
-
Discipline & Unity: Maintaining a cohesive organizational structure to enhance credibility.
A Foundation for Success
Rajesh Gupta, District President Jammu, reminded the appointees that a strong district unit is the “backbone of electoral success.” He urged the team to remain accessible and prioritize resolving local issues to build lasting trust within the community.
Echoing this sentiment, State President Braham Jyot Satti expressed immense confidence in the new Jammu team. He highlighted that the Morcha’s primary goal is to empower backward communities socially, economically, and politically. “The formation of this dedicated team reflects the growing public trust in the BJP’s ideology,” Satti stated, urging the members to match the excellence of other district units across the Union Territory.
The event concluded with a collective oath to work tirelessly for public welfare and to further solidify the BJP’s organizational presence across every corner of Jammu.
