Jammu, January 8:
The Central Sanskrit University’s Ranbir Campus in Kot Bhalwal turned into a hub of Vedic wisdom today as the 63rd Akhil Bharatiya Shastrotsav (State-Level) kicked off. Leading the charge with remarkable performances were the students of Churamani Sanskrit Sansthan, Vishwasthali (Basohli), who showcased their deep-rooted knowledge of India’s classical heritage.
A dedicated contingent of 18 students, under the mentorship of Acharya Sahil Sharma, traveled from Basohli to compete against the brightest minds from Katra Gurukul and other prestigious regional institutions.

The first day of the two-day event (January 8–9) saw intense scholastic contests where the Churamani students stood out for their clarity and scriptural accuracy.
Speech Competitions: Students tackled complex topics including Ayurveda, Indian Science, and Vedabhashya. Notable participants included:

Manik, Mohit, Abhishek, and Sudarsh, who were praised by the judges for their confident delivery and deep understanding of Sanskrit literature.
Shloka-Recitation (Kavya-Shalaka): In the traditional art of rhythmic recitation, students showcased their mastery over ancient texts:

Naresh, Akshit, and Sumit impressed the audience with their recitations from the Valmiki Ramayana, Kautilya’s Arthashastra, and Champu Ramayana.
The inaugural ceremony was a high-profile academic gathering chaired by the Campus Director, Prof. Satish Kumar Kapoor. The event was attended by a panel of distinguished scholars: Professor Kailash Chandra Das, Professor Ashok Kumar Thapliyal, Dr. Rajeev Lochan Sharma, Dr. Ramdas Sharma, Dr. Arun Kumar Mishra and Dr. Pushpendra Joshi.
