JAMMU, SEPT 28: The Eleventh Conference of Lajwanti Bhagatnath Radiations of Hope Trust, Crab-e-Con Ekadash, was inaugurated today by Peer Rajinder Nathji, Mahant of the Peer Kho Shrine in Jammu. The two-day mega cancer conference is organized by LBN Radiation of Hope and supported by the American Oncology Institute (AOI) Jammu, Acharya Shri Chander College of Medical Sciences (ASCOMS), and the North Zone Association of Radiation Oncologists of India (NZAROI).
The conference is set to showcase groundbreaking research in oncology, with top medical professionals from across India participating. Dr. Pavan Malhotra, Director Principal of ASCOMS, and Dr. G.K. Rath, former Head of the National Cancer Institute (NCI), praised the organizers for their dedication to holding such events regularly.
Senior Radiation Oncologist Dr. Deepak Abrol serves as the Executive Chairman of the conference, with Senior Medical Oncologist Dr. Satyanker Gupta as the Academic Chairman. Dr. Sunny Jandial, Senior Medical Oncologist, is the Organizing Secretary for the event.
Over the next two days, participants will engage in workshops, symposiums, panel discussions, debates, expert lectures, and one-on-one discussions on the latest developments in cancer treatment and care. A special curtain-raiser was also held for OncoGeeta, a comprehensive oncology compendium that took three years of research and hard work to complete.
Other notable dignitaries present included Dr. Rakesh Kapoor, Chairman of the Indian College of Radiation Oncology; Dr. Suparno Chakraborty; Dr. Sameer Kaul, a leading surgical oncologist; Dr. Shyam Aggarwal, a leading medical oncologist; Brigadier Rajeshwar Singh, a leading medical oncologist; Mr. Rayhan Hussaini, Facility Director of AOI Jammu; Prof. K.B. Abrol, Chairman of LBNROH; and Sh. Shashi Khajuria, Secretary of LBNROH. Several experts and senior doctors from prestigious institutions across the country were also in attendance.
