JAMMU, SEPT 11: Amid overwhelming support, retired SSP and independent candidate Mohan Lal Kaith filed his nomination for the 80-Marh Assembly constituency today. Thousands of supporters gathered at the Filling Station in Karloop to back Kaith’s bid for the upcoming elections, as his campaign officially kicked off with a massive roadshow.

Speaking at the event, Kaith outlined his priorities, stating, “I will work relentlessly to address the pressing issues of the people, especially those in the Marh constituency.” He highlighted key areas of focus, including ensuring an uninterrupted power supply, opposing the installation of smart meters, enhancing old-age pensions, establishing healthcare centers at the panchayat level, providing employment opportunities for the youth, and setting up a postgraduate college in the Marh block. He further emphasized that the effective implementation of public welfare schemes will be central to his agenda.

Kaith’s roadshow, consisting of a cavalcade of four-wheelers and two-wheelers, showcased enthusiastic supporters waving national flags and banners. The procession, which began at Karloop, passed through various villages before concluding in Marh. Youth from different areas were heard chanting slogans in support of Kaith, reflecting the energy and optimism surrounding his campaign.

Upon reaching the office of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) in Marh, Kaith was accompanied by prominent local figures, including former Sarpanchs Harjeet Singh, Balbir Singh, Lal Singh, Sham Lal Sharma, Bindu Sharma, and Puja Rani. The presence of these community leaders further strengthened the message of unity behind his candidacy.

After filing his nomination, Kaith expressed confidence in his chances of winning, stating that the massive turnout in his support signifies the people’s desire for change. “The people have tested all political parties in the past, and now they seek fresh leadership that will truly work for their welfare,” he said. Kaith extended his gratitude to the public for their participation, acknowledging the widespread support from all corners of the constituency.
