JAMMU, JAN 06: The Indian Army ushered in the New Year with a heartfelt tribute to its veterans by organizing a meet at Kadial village, RS Pura, under the aegis of Tiger Division. The event, aimed at recognizing the valiant contributions of soldiers and their families, was marked by the presence of Subedar Major and Honorary Captain Bana Singh, Param Vir Chakra, India’s highest wartime gallantry award recipient.
The General Officer Commanding (GOC), Tiger Division, led the proceedings, honoring gallantry awardees and interacting with the families of fallen heroes, including Veer Naris and Veer Matas. The event celebrated their unwavering courage, sacrifices, and resilience, highlighting the army’s gratitude and commitment towards its extended family of veterans.
A significant turnout of veterans underscored the enduring bond between the armed forces and their retired personnel. The GOC engaged in meaningful dialogues with the attendees, listening to their experiences and addressing their concerns.
