JAMMU, DEC 10: Tiger Vayu Rakshak (TIVRA), an advanced Manned-Unmanned Team (MUMT) technology developed for modern battlefield applications, is revolutionizing tactical drone operations. TIVRA combines a Hunter-Killer drone duo, offering unparalleled precision and efficiency in combat scenarios.
As per the statement issued to The Newsroom 24 – Awaz, the system integrates a Hunter drone that conducts reconnaissance and streams live footage to operators, with a Killer drone designed to autonomously neutralize targets using a 1 kg payload. Once the Hunter drone identifies a potential threat, it relays the target’s coordinates to the Killer drone, which autonomously engages, ensuring swift and accurate strikes.
Enhanced by artificial intelligence (AI), TIVRA boasts capabilities for real-time object detection, data streaming, and operator-assisted decision-making. This makes it suitable for short to mid-range tactical missions, blending human oversight with autonomous functionality for maximum precision.
Successfully trialed during the “Innov Yodha” event in Delhi, TIVRA garnered significant appreciation, including from the Chief of Army Staff (COAS). The trials demonstrated the system’s ability to perform both manual and autonomous operations effectively. Plans are underway to expand its capabilities into swarm-based models, which would enable coordinated, scalable operations to further enhance battlefield efficiency.
