Senior-most officer of the district to take charge until new SSP joins

SRINAGAR, SEPT 22: SSP Bandipora Lakshay Sharma, an IPS officer from the 2016 batch, has been repatriated to his parent cadre following the completion of his deputation tenure in Jammu and Kashmir.

An official order, stated that the decision came after receiving approval from the competent authority and a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Election Commission of India. Sharma was relieved from his duties in the Union Territory on September 22, 2024 (forenoon), to rejoin his parent cadre.

The order further directed that Lakshay Sharma hand over charge to the senior-most police officer in Bandipora until the new SSP takes office in the district.
