JAMMU, JAN 30: Sainik School Nagrota (SSN) has added another accolade to its illustrious legacy by clinching the prestigious Best Band Trophy (Boys) during the 76th Republic Day Parade held at Maulana Azad Stadium, Jammu.

The honor was conferred by Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor (LG) of Jammu & Kashmir, who presented the trophy to Lt Col Amit Selot, Officiating Principal of the school, and Cadet Uday Kumar, Band Contingent Captain, during the grand Beating Retreat Ceremony on January 29, 2025.

Under the expert guidance of Ex-Hav Showkat Ahmed Khan, the school band delivered an impeccable performance, mesmerising the audience with their synchronised movements and harmonious tunes. Their disciplined and spirited display earned them the top recognition at the event, which is a hallmark of excellence and precision.

Speaking on the occasion, Capt (Indian Navy) Shibu Devasia, Principal of Sainik School Nagrota, expressed his pride in the band’s remarkable achievement. “This is a moment of great honor for all Nagrotians. The dedication and hard work of our cadets have once again placed our institution at the pinnacle of excellence,” he said.
