Srinagar Grenade Blast

SRINAGAR, NOV 03: The injured count reached ten, who were injured in a grenade attack at Srinagar’s crowded Sunday Market, with authorities confirming that all the injured are in stable condition.

The blast, which occurred at the TRC crossing, was intended for a security forces vehicle but missed its target, instead causing injuries to bystanders.

The injured include a range of individuals, from teenagers to middle-aged shoppers, who were caught off-guard by the explosion. The below mentioned (10) grenade splinter injured person brought SMHS hospital, have been identified as:

1. Misba aged about 17 years D/o Mohammad Amin Tantry R/o Nowgam.

2. Azaan Kaloo aged about 17 years S/o Javaid Ahmad Kaloo R/o Noorbagh.

3. Habibullah Rather aged about 50 years S/o Abdul Jabbar R/o Kaloosa Bandipora.

4. Altaf Ahmad seer aged about 21 years S/o Abdul Rashid R/o Amshipora shopian.

5. Faizal Ahmad aged about 16 years S/o Fayaz Ahmad Beig R/o Khaniyar

6. Uer Farooq S/o Farooq Ahmed Bhat R/o Pattan left hand injury.

7. Faizan Mushtaq aged about 20 years S/o Mushtaq Ahmad Sofi R/o Pampore.

8. Zahid aged about 19 years S/o Gulzar Ahmad Wani R/o Checkpora Kalan Nowgam.

9. Gulam Muhammad Sofi aged about 55 years S/o Gulam Ahmad R/o Chattabal.

10. Sumaiya Jan aged about 45 years W/o Zubair Ahmed Lone R/o Naidkhai Sumbal.

All injured suffered multiple injuries but are said to be stable as of now.

The bustling Sunday Market, a popular winter shopping destination, was filled with people at the time of the attack. Security forces have cordoned off the area and initiated a search operation to trace the attackers.
