JAMMU, JAN 14: Six Indian Army soldiers were injured in a suspected mine blast in the Makdi area along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday.
Defence sources told The Newsroom 24 – Awaz that the incident occurred when a routine patrolling party encountered a sudden blast at the Sher Makdi location, a mountainous region near the LoC.
They said that all six soldiers sustained splinter injuries during the explosion.
The injured personnel were promptly evacuated and airlifted to military hospitals in Jammu and Udhampur for medical treatment. Their condition remains under observation, with no official updates yet on the cause of the blast.
Further investigations are underway to ascertain whether the explosion was caused by a landmine or any other explosive device.
