New Governors for Five States

NEW DELHI, DEC 24: In a significant reshuffle, the President of India has approved the resignation of Raghubar Das as Governor of Odisha and announced new gubernatorial appointments for five states on Tuesday.

The newly appointed Governors are as follows:

Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, previously serving as Governor of Mizoram, has been appointed Governor of Odisha.
General (Dr.) Vijay Kumar Singh, PVSM, AVSM, YSM (Retd.), will now serve as Governor of Mizoram.
Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Governor of Bihar, has been appointed as Governor of Kerala.
Arif Mohammed Khan, Governor of Kerala, has been appointed as Governor of Bihar.
Ajay Kumar Bhalla has been appointed as Governor of Manipur.

The appointments will take effect from the dates the appointees assume charge of their respective offices. This reshuffle underscores the President’s vision of ensuring effective governance across states.
