Jammu, Feb 19:
In a major breakthrough for security forces, a joint operation by the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Indian Army’s CIF (Romeo) Force has effectively dismantled a high-level terror-smuggling module in the Rajouri district.
The operation, conducted under the aegis of the White Knight Corps, led to the arrest of a key operative involved in a trans-border weapons racket designed to destabilize the Jammu region.
The Arrest: A Decisive Blow to the Syndicate
The apprehended individual has been identified as Sachin, alias ‘Pamma,’ a resident of Nowshera. Acting on “specific and credible” intelligence, security forces cornered the suspect in a swift and seamless operation.
Preliminary investigations reveal that Sachin was in direct contact with Pakistan-based terrorists and smugglers, acting as a crucial link in an inter-state network used to funnel illegal weaponry into the heart of Jammu & Kashmir.
Cache of High-End Foreign Paperwork Recovered
The recovery made from the suspect highlights the sophisticated nature of the weapons being smuggled across the border:
-
01 x TISAS Zigana 9mm Pistol: A high-end, Turkey-made firearm.
-
01 x TT-30 Pistol: A China-made Norinko handgun.
-
02 x Extended 50-Round Zigana Magazines: High-capacity magazines rarely seen in routine smuggling.
-
02 x Standard Magazines and 15 x Live 9mm Rounds.
Thwarting “Nefarious Designs”
The White Knight Corps stated that this arrest has effectively thwarted a larger plot aimed at disrupting the peaceful atmosphere of the Union Territory. The involvement of Turkey-made “Zigana” pistols—often favored by specialized terror groups—indicates a calculated attempt to upgrade the lethality of local modules.
“This operation reflects seamless coordination between intelligence agencies and ground forces. We have successfully busted a racket that had inter-state ramifications,” a senior official remarked.
Search and Investigation Continues
Sachin is currently under intense interrogation as agencies look to trace the end-users of the weapons cache and identify other local associates involved in this trans-border syndicate. Security across the Nowshera-Rajouri belt remains on high alert following the recovery.
