JAMMU, JAN 12: The Border Security Force (BSF) Jammu has launched a four-week beautician training programme under its Civic Action initiative, aimed at empowering women and girls from border areas in the R.S. Pura region of Jammu. The programme, which involves 30 participants, is being conducted in two phases.
The first phase was successfully held from September 16 to October 25, 2024, with 15 women and girls completing the course. The second phase, accommodating another 15 participants, commenced on December 23, 2024, and will conclude on January 18, 2025.
As per the statement issued to The Newsroom 24 – Awaz, during the training, participants are being taught essential skills required in the beautician profession. Upon completing the programme, they will receive certificates acknowledging their expertise, equipping them for employment or self-reliant ventures.
BSF Jammu, known for its commitment to the welfare of border residents, continues to promote skill development and empowerment through such initiatives. “These efforts are aimed at fostering self-reliance and ensuring the holistic growth and prosperity of the border areas,” the statement added.
