JAMMU, JAN 30: The White Knight Corps of the Indian Army distributed classroom furniture to students of the Government Primary School in Sobka village, Akhnoor, on Friday, as part of Operation Sadbhavana. The event was marked by a colorful cultural program presented by the school students, showcasing local talent and celebrating the community’s spirit.
As per the statement issued to The Newsroom 24 – Awaz, under Operation Sadbhavana, the White Knight Corps, actively engaged in the Malpur region, provided much-needed classroom furniture to students of the Government Primary School. The initiative aims to strengthen the education sector and uplift underprivileged students in the region.
Due to financial constraints, many children in the area lack books and essential facilities required for a proper education. The donation of desks and benches will offer students a more conducive learning environment, ensuring they can attend school regularly and pursue their studies effectively.
The villagers expressed their gratitude for this timely initiative, acknowledging the Army’s continuous support for the local community. They highlighted the Army’s efforts to assist children and youth through educational camps, vocational training, skill development programs, and providing essential learning materials like books and furniture.
On this occasion, the event was attended by Principal Kishori Lal Sharma of Government Primary School, Captain Peetam Singh, Balbir Singh, social worker Monu Verma, Mohit Sharma, Sunil Singh, the village Panch, school students, teachers, and local residents.
