HARYANA, NOV 27: The marriage of martyred CRPF jawan Satish Kumar’s daughter was celebrated with great pomp and the special thing about this marriage was that the responsibility of the entire marriage was taken by the CRPF jawans.
This emotional moment of giving away the bride in place of the father took place in Chattar village of Haryana. Satish’s family and close ones witnessed this moment. During this, there were cheers for the jawans.
CRPF jawan Satish Kumar of Chattar village was martyred in a terrorist attack 09 years ago (March 20, 2015) in the terrorist attack in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir.
Satish, who belonged to a poor family, was known as a fearless CRPF jawan. he was always at the forefront in action against terrorists. But Kumar’s death was a big shock for his family. That day, CRPF jawans consoled Satish Kumar’s daughter and family at the funeral. They said that CRPF is always with you in the coming days too.

09 Years after Satish Kumar’s martyrdom, daughter Nisha’s marriage was fixed. Here, CRPF jawans became active. Nisha’s father Satish Kumar had been martyred, so the CRPF soldiers wanted that she should not feel the absence of her father.
The CRPF soldiers who came to Nisha’s wedding took all the responsibility. They got Nisha married by standing in place of her father. The CRPF soldiers welcomed the groom and the groom’s family. Then they performed the wedding rituals and customs. They performed the wedding ceremony with great pomp by giving Kanyadaan.

CRPF DIG Komal Kumar expressed happiness and said, “Satish Kumar was with us in the CRPF team. Now on this auspicious occasion, Kumar’s daughter should not feel the absence of her father. She should keep smiling during Kanyadaan. That is why we have participated in the daughter’s wedding.”
