SAMBA, NOV 29: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Jammu has reached a significant milestone in healthcare excellence with the completion of 1,000 ENT endoscopies on Friday.
As per the statement issued to The Newsroom 24 – Awaz, Prof. (Dr.) Shakti Kumar Gupta, Executive Director and CEO of AIIMS Jammu, lauded the accomplishment, emphasizing the hospital’s commitment to patient care. “Completing 1,000 ENT endoscopies is a significant achievement and a testament to our dedication to exceptional patient care. This milestone is not just a number; it reflects the trust our patients have placed in us. I am proud of our ENT team’s efforts and look forward to many more achievements in the future,” he said.
The success was driven by the expert leadership of the ENT Department’s team, led by Dr. Darwin Kaushal and Dr. Amardeep Singh. ENT endoscopy, a minimally invasive procedure, enables doctors to visually examine the ear, nose, and throat using a camera-equipped flexible or rigid tube. This advanced procedure aids in diagnosing and treating a range of conditions, including nasal polyps, sinusitis, throat cancer, and other laryngeal pathologies.
The nursing staff’s dedication also played a pivotal role in this achievement. “Nursing officers are the backbone of our healthcare system. Their hard work and commitment to patient care are essential to the success of our department,” said Dr. Kaushal, recognizing the indispensable contributions of the nursing team.
