JAMMU, JULY 27: In a moving display of international cooperation and compassion, the mortal remains of Harsh, a 22-year-old resident of Jaurian area of Jammu district, have been repatriated from Sialkot, Pakistan, to his family in Jammu, India.

This delicate operation, conducted under the watchful eyes of the White Knight Corps of the Indian Army, ensured Harsh’s return to his homeland with the respect and dignity befitting such a solemn occasion.

Harsh went missing on June 12 in the Bakor area of the Jaurian area of Jammu district. Despite an extensive search and rescue effort, it was only a month later that his body was discovered in Sialkot, Pakistan. The somber news was promptly relayed to Harsh’s grieving family, prompting a series of high-level diplomatic and humanitarian efforts to facilitate his return.

In recognition of the profound sorrow experienced by Harsh’s family and the imperative of upholding human dignity, the Crossed Swords Division of the White Knight Corps, in collaboration with various governmental and humanitarian bodies, meticulously coordinated the repatriation.

This mission, marked by its reverence and solemnity, underscored the shared humanity that bridges national borders. On Saturday, Harsh’s family conveyed their heartfelt gratitude to all involved agencies, including the Indian Army, as the mortal remains of their cherished son were ceremoniously handed over for final rites.
