NEW DELHI: The Centre on Friday notified the appointment of Justice Sheel Nagu as Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court. Justice Nagu was serving as the Acting Chief Justice of the Madhya Pradesh (MP) High Court after Chief Justice Ravi Malimath demitted the office on May 24, 2024.

As per the release, the President of India, in exercise of the powers conferred by the Constitution of India, appointed Sheel Nagu, Judge of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh as the Chief Justice of the High Court of Punjab and Haryana with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office.
