JAMMU, NOV 27: The Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) on Wednesday suspended Vandana Sharma, In-Charge Headmaster of Government High School (GHS) Chak Jaffar, with immediate effect, citing pending inquiry into her conduct.
As per the order, the copy of which lies with The Newsroom 24 – Awaz, the suspension is enforced under Rule 31 of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control & Appeal) Rules, 1956.
The suspension order, issued through Order No. 366-DSEJ of 2024, was based on the recommendation of the Chief Education Officer, Jammu. During her suspension, Sharma will remain attached to the office of the Chief Education Officer, Jammu, until further notice.
The Directorate of School Education (DSE) emphasized that the action has been taken to ensure a fair investigation into the matter. The exact details of the allegations against Sharma have not been disclosed.
