Range Level Debate Competition

JAMMU, OCT 23: A Range Level Debate Competition for officers and officials from various ranges and districts of Jammu Zone was organized on Wednesday by the Zonal Police Headquarters, Jammu.

The event, held at the Conference Hall, DPL Jammu, was conducted under the command of Anand Jain, IPS, ADGP Jammu Zone, and chaired by Shiv Kumar Sharma, IPS, DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua (JSK) Range.

The competition saw participants debating on the topic, “Human Rights Violations Cannot Be Controlled Crimes by Organized Criminal Syndicates, Including Terrorist Outfits, Human Trafficking Gangs, and Narcotics Smugglers.”

The competition featured officers speaking both for and against the motion, with impressive performances from all participants. PSI Abhinav R. Salgotra (PID No. EXJ-196678) secured the 1st position, while PSI Sharaz Ahmed (PID No. EXJ-196268) took 2nd place for speaking in favor of the motion. In the category of those speaking against the motion, W/Ct. Asma Choudhary (No. 400/1st Women Battalion) secured 1st place, and PSI Yasir Arafat (PID No. EXJ-196268) won 2nd place.

The jury for the event included Sh. Anwar-ul-Haq, JKPS, SP PCR Jammu, Sh. Irshad Hussain, JKPS, SP Headquarters Jammu, Smt. Pooja Nijhon, JKPS, Sr. PO DPO Jammu, and Sh. Hemanshu Mahajan, JKPS, Sr. PO ZPHQ Jammu.

At the conclusion of the program, DIG JSK Range Sh. Shiv Kumar Sharma and SSP Jammu Sh. Joginder Singh appreciated the participants for their insightful contributions and congratulated the winners for their excellent performances.
