National Police Day 2024

SAMBA, OCT 18: The Samba Police organized a motorbike rally on Friday to pay tribute to the officers and jawans who have sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. The rally was part of the National Police Day 2024 commemoration and was led by the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samba.

The event, which started from the District Police Headquarters, witnessed the participation of several senior officers, including Additional Superintendent of Police (Addl. SP) Samba, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Headquarters Samba, Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Vijaypur, DySP DAR Samba, Station House Officers (SHO) from Police Stations Samba and Vijaypur, and other officials. A large number of local youth also joined the procession, showcasing their solidarity with the police force.

The rally passed through various parts of the town, raising awareness among the public about National Police Day, which is observed annually on October 21. The day is dedicated to remembering and honoring the sacrifices of police martyrs who have served the nation with courage and commitment.

Speaking on the occasion, the SSP Samba highlighted the significance of National Police Day and expressed gratitude to the brave men and women who protect society at great personal risk. The rally culminated at the District Police Headquarters.

A formal observance of National Police Day 2024 will be held at the District Police Lines Samba, where further tributes will be paid to the police personnel who have laid down their lives in service of the country.

The police urged the public to participate in these events and join in honoring the nation’s heroes in uniform.
