KATHUA, SEPT 10: Four security personnel, part of the advance security escort for Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh, were injured in a road accident on Monday morning in Kathua district. The incident occurred when the vehicle they were traveling in suffered a front tire burst, causing it to crash en route to a public rally in Billawar, according to officials.
Official sources said that an Innova vehicle carrying an advance party of 10 personnel was involved in an accident this morning when its front tires burst, causing the crash.
They said the team was en route from Preet Nagar Gangyal to provide an escort to “Dr. Jatinder Singh” for a public meeting rally in Bilawar.
They added that the accident resulted in injuries to four personnel, identified as Head Constable Jaiveer Singh, Head Constables Yudhveer Singh, Suresh Patil, and Mohinder Singh.
They said that the other personnel sustained minor injuries. All the injured personnel received first aid and treatment at CHC Bilawar.
Meanwhile, the injured are currently in stable condition.
