The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo commissioned the first of two Astroturfs for the people of Sekondi – the Sekondi Methodist park on Sunday 29th Nov.2020. This forms part of various activities outlined for what looks like his last tour of the Western Region before the election.

The Sekondi Astroturf, constructed by one of the leading Astroturf companies in Ghana, Wembley Sports Construction Company Limited, has an underground water system to irrigate the park at regular intervals; and a floodlighting system.
