UDHAMPUR, NOV 10: Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Rajinder Singh Rana has issued a circular to ban use of mobile phones in the school premises of Sub Division Ramnagar.

The circular was issued by the SDM after conducting a random inspection of schools when some students were caught using the mobile phone in the classrooms during school timing.

Earlier, some local people of Sub Division also filed complaints regarding misuse of mobile phones in the schools by teachers and students creating distraction, indiscipline and affecting overall academic performance of the schools.

The circular also reads that incase of any emergency, the mobile phone of the head of school can be used.

The Zonal Education Officers, principals, headmasters and other incharges of the schools (both private and government) have also been advised to ensure wide publicity and implementation of circular in letter and spirit.
