ANANTNAG, DEC 02: Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) on Monday attached a double-storied residential property valued at approximately ₹5 crores under Section 25 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 (UAPA) in Anantnag.

As per the statement issued to The Newsroom 24 – Awaz, the property, located in Hugam Lonepora, Srigufwara, belongs to Firdous Ahmad Bhat and spans 10 kanal and 10 marlas, as per Survey No. 5419/561 Min.

The action was carried out as part of an investigation linked to Case FIR No. 57/2024 registered at Police Station Mattan. The attachment was executed in the presence of a police team and an Executive Magistrate, ensuring adherence to all legal protocols.

According to officials, this move underscores the police’s dedication to dismantling networks involved in unlawful and subversive activities. “This attachment is a major step in the ongoing probe and reflects our firm commitment to safeguarding national security,” an official statement said.
