The National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) Presidential Candidate, John Dramani Mahama has voted in the Bole constituency of the Savannah Region.

Mr. Mahama was huddled by constituents in Bole when he showed up to vote.

Addressing constituents after voting, Mr. Mahama admitted that although the general voting process had so far been smooth, a few hitches had been recorded.

“There was no queue and that is usual of this constituency. I have voted here since 1992. I have voted presidential and parliamentary under three minutes. It is too early to make an assessment but there are a few hitches. I registered with one of my security personnel, but he cannot find his name. We will see the presiding officer to check this anomaly.”

The former President also urged Ghanaians to vote smoothly and refrain from violence.

The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has also cast his ballot in his home region, Eastern Region.

John Mahama who served as President from 2012 was defeated by Nana Akufo-Addo by close to a million vote margin in the 2016 general elections.

Mahama has promised to create over a million jobs when he is voted into power in 2020.

He has also pledged to legalise the commercial motorcycle business also known as okada if he wins the polls.
