There are reported cases of chaos at some polling stations in the country while counting goes on.
The latest is in the Okaikoi North Constituency, where some men have fired gunshots to disperse electoral materials at the collation centre.
In the Bole Bamboi Constituency, incumbent Sulemana Yussif has retained his seat.
In the Upper East Region, regional minister Tangoba Abayage has conceded defeat in Monday’s polls.
Counting riddled with chaos
The chaos had started much earlier into the counting of ballots.
At the Obrakyere Polling Station in the Awutu Senya West Constituency in the Central Region, an unidentified man is said to have been gunned down by police in an attempt to carry a ballot box.
This has, however, not been confirmed by the police.

At the Good Hope Hostel in Abossey Okai, Media General‘s Wendy Laryea reported of a confusion among voters.
