JAMMU, OCT 30: The J&K Police Martyrs Memorial Volleyball Tournament culminated in a high-energy final at District Police Lines (DPL) Jammu on Wednesday, where team Arnia clinched the trophy with a 2-0 win over team Parghwal. The tournament, dedicated to honoring the sacrifices of police martyrs, began on October 25 and featured eight teams showcasing skill, sportsmanship, and teamwork.
As per the release issued here, SSP Jammu, Joginder Singh (JKPS), attended as the Chief Guest, alongside SP Hqrs Jammu, Irshad H. Rather (JKPS), and IC DySP DAR, Virender Gupta. The match drew a lively crowd of police officials, civilians, and team supporters, enhancing the tournament’s community spirit.
The victorious team, Arnia, was awarded a trophy and a cash prize of ₹10,000, while team Parghwal, the runner-up, received a trophy and ₹5,000. In addition, players from both teams were presented with certificates and volleyball uniforms, and referees were honored with mementos in recognition of their fair officiating.
Speaking at the prize distribution, SSP Jammu commended the players for their dedication, resilience, and camaraderie.
