CHANDIGARH, NOV 08: General Upendra Dwivedi, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), visited the Headquarters of the Western Command on Friday.
As per the release issued here, during his visit, the COAS was briefed by the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-Chief) of the Western Command on key aspects of the Command’s operational readiness, training initiatives, logistics frameworks, and administrative protocols.
General Dwivedi engaged in a comprehensive interaction with the Formation Commanders, delving into an array of issues related to the prevailing security situation along the Western Front. In the discussions, the COAS placed a strong emphasis on the necessity of integrating technological advancements across all operational and administrative fields to ensure continued superiority and readiness.
Highlighting the importance of holistic nation-building efforts, General Dwivedi underscored the Army’s role in contributing across multiple domains beyond just defense. He commended the professionalism, dedication, and commitment demonstrated by the formations under the Western Command, noting their continued excellence in fulfilling their duties.
