POONCH, MAR 04: Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal on Tuesday flagged off a Women Motor Bike Rally from Dak Bungalow Poonch under the theme “Nasha Mukt Seemayen, Ride for Strength, Break the Chain.” The rally, organized under the banner of Shakti Udghosh Foundation, aimed at promoting women empowerment and drug-free border areas.
Interacting with the bikers, the Deputy Commissioner applauded their courage and determination, emphasizing the significance of safe travel in hilly terrains. He stated that such initiatives play a vital role in spreading awareness and breaking societal barriers.
The rally, symbolizing strength and resilience, followed a route from Kathua through Akhnoor and Rajouri, culminating its journey from Poonch to Jammu. On the concluding day, District Social Welfare Officer Wakeel Ahmed Bhatt also participated, highlighting the importance of community engagement in the fight against substance abuse.
