DODA, OCT 15: The Chief Education Officer (CEO) of Doda district has issued a circular announcing the cancellation of all school picnics and excursions in both government and private schools of the district.
According to the circular, the decision comes in light of the late start of the academic session and the engagement of teaching staff in election-related duties, which has led to a significant loss of academic time.
The circular writes that organizing school picnics at this stage would further disrupt the academic schedule of students. The upcoming Pooja holidays and winter vacations are also expected to reduce the time available for students to recover the lost academic sessions, thus making it even harder for them to catch up.
The CEO has directed all heads of institutions to avoid planning any school picnics, emphasizing that no further permissions for picnics will be granted by the office. Additionally, any permissions that were previously granted have been withdrawn with immediate effect.
