The Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) came alive over the weekend as three seasoned Ghanaian highlife musicians put up sterling performances at the ‘Kab-Fam Legends Night’.

The much-hyped event was attended by thousands of music lovers including former President John Agyekum Kuffour and Sammy Awuku, Director General of the National Lotteries, among others.

The concert, organised by Kab-fam Ghana Limited, featured Abrantie Amakye Dede, Kojo Antwi and Daddy Lumba.

Daddy Lumba started the show with a brilliant performance thrilling the audience with his hit songs like Ankwanoma, Wo Ho Kyere, Aben Wo Ha, Doctor Panie, Yentie Obiaa, Wo Da Ntu Pono Mu and Adaka Teaa.

Because of the captivating beat and lyrics of his songs, the fans chanted the chorus of all the tunes his band played.

Next to mount the stage was Kojo Antwi, who also sang his heart out and further charged the atmosphere with his classical songs and performances.

He performed most of his evergreen tunes which saw everyone springing to their feet and dancing.

In fact, Kojo Antwi’s stage performance won the hearts of music fans with his exquisite stagecraft and vocal ability.

The energetic Amakye Dede took over from Kojo Antwi and drove the audience to the apex of their expectation. His tunes were just so overwhelming that almost everyone in the auditorium could not resist the temptation to dance.

The ‘Iron Boy’ hit maker showed that he had not lost his magical touch to live band performance.

Amakye Dede, who celebrates his birthday today, is known for delivering high and mid-tempo songs that always bring out the best in him. He performed for more than one and half hours.

Hit after hit, music fans danced like there was no tomorrow. He had a very strong stage presence and was cheered on all the way through his display.

Backed by his own Hi Kings Band, Abrantie Amakye Dede treated the music fans to his songs like Akwadaa Wesoa, Akoko Bebon Oyonko Pe Me Seyee, Odo Dabaabi, Sika Ne Barima, Su Fre Wo Nyame, Odo Nti Na Me Su and Odo Bi De3 Saa, among others.

He kept the audience on their feet singing and dancing from start to the end of his slot.

He proved to the music lovers that he was still on top of the game and could deliver anytime he was called upon to perform.
