JAMMU, JULY 25: Deputy Inspector General of Police, JKS Range, Dr. Sunil Gupta, IPS, on Thursday flagged off the Bharat Darshan Tour of 63 students from various parts of district Doda this afternoon from Gulshan Ground, Jammu, under the Civic Action Programme (CAP).
As per the Police release, the tour, organized by the Zonal Police Headquarters, Jammu, aims to provide these students with an enriching and educational experience. The participants, accompanied by two caretakers from district Doda, will travel from Jammu to Delhi and then proceed to Kolkata by air. The Bharat Darshan Tour Programme is scheduled from July 25, 2024, to 29th, 2024.
During the flag-off ceremony, Dr Sunil Gupta highlighted the importance of the CAP, stressing its role in fostering a positive relationship between the police and the community, particularly the youth. He stated, “This initiative is a testament to our commitment towards the welfare and development of the younger generation. By engaging them in constructive activities, we aim to bridge the gap between the police and the public.”
