JAMMU, OCT 30: A joint team of the Civil Administration and Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) on Wednesday conducted a comprehensive market inspection in City North Jammu.
As per the release issued here, the inspection aimed to ensure security and vigilance amidst the heavy crowds gathered in major commercial areas, including Moti Bazar, Purani Mandi, Super Bazar, Kanak Mandi Chowk, City Chowk, and Raghunath Bazar.
During the inspection, officials urged both shopkeepers and the general public to remain alert and vigilant, given the current security situation in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. “We are emphasizing the importance of awareness and a collective approach to maintain security. Shopkeepers and visitors are our first line of alert in ensuring a safe environment,” it writes.
Authorities advised shopkeepers to keep a close watch for any suspicious activity and report concerns promptly. Along with the security guidance, both locals and merchants were greeted warmly by the team as a gesture of goodwill for the festive season.
