SRINAGAR, OCT 21: Chief Minister (CM) Omar Abdullah on Monday paid homage to the police martyrs on the occasion of Police Commemoration Day, during a solemn ceremony held at the Police Martyrs Memorial in Zewan.
Joined by members of his Council of Ministers, including Javed Ahmad Rana and Javid Ahmad Dar, as well as Advisor Nasir Aslam Wani, the Chief Minister led the gathering in offering floral tributes to honor the sacrifices of the brave policemen who laid down their lives in the line of duty.
Recently elected Members of the Legislative Assembly, Farooq Ahmad Shah, Sheikh Ahsan, Mushtaq Guru, and Rafiq Ahmad Naik, were also present to lay floral wreaths at the memorial, acknowledging the dedication and courage of the martyrs.
Several senior officials were in attendance, including Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, Director General of Police J&K Nalin Prabhat, Additional Chief Secretary Jal Shakti Shakeen Kabra, and Principal Secretary Home, to pay their respects.
Following the tribute ceremony, the Chief Minister visited a blood donation camp organized as part of the event. He expressed his gratitude to the donors for their selfless contribution to the welfare of the community.
