JAMMU, SEPT 30: AIIMS Jammu achieved a significant milestone in its surgical services on Friday with the successful removal of a thyroid gland tumor, marking an important step in the expansion of specialized care at the institution on Friday. The thyroidectomy, conducted by the Department of ENT, was a collaborative effort led by Dr. Amardeep Singh (Associate Professor), Dr. Darwin Kaushal (Additional Professor), Dr. Akriti Mahajan (Senior Resident), and Dr. Muskan Rao (Junior Resident).
The anesthesia team, critical to the procedure’s success, comprised Dr. Sunana Gupta (Additional Professor), Dr. Raksha Kundal (Associate Professor), and Senior Residents Dr. Pallavi Bloria and Dr. Sakshi Gupta. The successful surgery underscores AIIMS Jammu’s growing capability to handle complex cases, ensuring high standards of care for patients in the region.
