According to an advisory issued by the Srinagar Traffic Police, a heavy rush of vehicles towards SKICC is expected after 4 PM. The restrictions will remain in force from 4 PM to 7 PM during the inauguration function.
Gupkar Road: No general traffic will be allowed between 4 PM and 7 PM. Only invitees, participants, VVIPs and staff associated with the event will be permitted to ply on the road.
Badyari Chowk/Brein Chowk: Traffic will not be allowed towards SKICC–Nehru Park, except hotel guests and local residents. Other traffic heading towards Nishat will be diverted towards Gupkar and Hazratbal.
Nishat/Harwan side: Traffic coming from this side will also be diverted towards Hazratbal.
Emergency vehicles: Emergency traffic will be allowed to take the shortest available route.
The Traffic Police has advised commuters to plan their journeys accordingly and cooperate with personnel deployed on the ground to ensure smooth traffic management.
