Jammu, Feb 5:
In a tragic incident during the late hours of Wednesday night, a 25-year-old Army Jawan was found dead after being discovered unconscious at a sentry post in North Kashmir’s Sopore area.
Incident Details
According to official sources, Sepoy Jatinder Singh was on duty at the Junjo Sentry Post when he was found unresponsive by fellow personnel.
The 25-year-old soldier was immediately rushed to the nearest medical facility for emergency treatment. Despite the efforts of medical staff, he was tragically declared dead on arrival.
Current Status
The body of the deceased soldier has been shifted to Badami Bagh, Srinagar, where:

Medico-legal procedures (autopsy) will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
Investigation Launched
While the sudden nature of the incident has raised questions, authorities have not yet confirmed the specific cause of death.
“The exact cause and circumstances leading to the incident are currently under investigation. We are awaiting further details from the medical reports,” an official stated.
The Army has initiated a formal inquiry into the matter to rule out any lapses or external factors. Further updates are expected following the completion of the post-mortem examination.
