The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir today celebrated the 77th Republic Day with immense patriotic fervor. Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha unfurled the National Flag at the grand UT-level function held at Maulana Azad (MA) Stadium in Jammu.
The ceremony was marked by a massive show of military strength and cultural diversity, emphasizing the region’s transition toward stability and development.
The Grand Parade: A Display of Discipline
LG Manoj Sinha inspected the parade contingents and took the ceremonial salute. The march-past featured a diverse lineup of security forces and youth organizations, including:

Security Forces: Army, BSF, CRPF, SSB, J&K Police (Male & Women), JKAP, and IRP.

Emergency Services: UT Disaster Response Force, Fire and Emergency Services, and Forest Protection Force.

Youth & Volunteers: NCC (Boys & Girls), Bharat Scouts and Guides, and numerous school contingents.

Musical Ensembles: Brass and Pipe Bands from the Army, BSF, J&K Police, and local schools.
Tableaux and Cultural Highlights
The stadium came alive with vibrant tableaux showcasing the developmental strides and strategic achievements of Jammu & Kashmir. The themes focused heavily on social reform and national security: National Security (Operation Sindoor, Sashakt Bharat), Youth & Empowerment (Mission Yuva, Shram ko Samman), Public Safety & Health (Nasha Mukt J&K, Road Safety, Food Safety) and Governance (Saral Kar (Simplified Taxation)).
A major highlight that drew thunderous applause was the Motorcycle Acrobatic display by the J&K Police’s “Dare-Devils,” followed by a cultural pageantry reflecting the UT’s rich and ancient heritage.
Tribute to the Fallen Heroes
Before arriving at the stadium, the Lieutenant Governor visited the Police Martyrs Memorial and Balidan Stambh. He laid wreaths in honor of the “bravehearts” of the Police, Army, and CAPFs.
In his address, the LG noted that a “new dawn” has arrived in the region, specifically referencing the success of Operation Sindoor as a defining moment in India’s national security. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to “Viksit Bharat by 2047” and assured that every act of terrorism would be met with a decisive response.
