In a historic moment for the newly formed Jammu Division, eight employees of the Commercial Department were conferred with the prestigious “Principal Chief Commercial Manager (PCCM) Award – 2025” today. The ceremony, held at Northern Railway’s headquarters in Baroda House, New Delhi, recognized the staff for their exceptional dedication to passenger services, freight operations, and revenue growth.
This marks the first time since the division’s establishment in 2025 that its commercial staff has received this high-level zonal honor. The awards were presented by the Principal Chief Commercial Manager, Northern Railway, in a ceremony that celebrated innovation and professionalism within the department.
The eight recipients from the Jammu Division were chosen for their “exemplary devotion to duty” across various critical stations, including Katra, Jammu, and Anantnag.
Details of the awardees are as follows: (1) Manzoor Ahmad (Chief Commercial Clerk), Anantnag; (2) Prince Sharma (CCTC), Budgam; (3) Vijay Kumar (CCTC), Katra; (4) Vanshika R. Saxena (Chief Commercial Clerk), Katra; (5) Nitin Patwal (CCTC), Jammu; (6) Naresh Singh (CCTC), Jammu; (7) Devanshu sambyal (CCTC), Samba; (8) Monika Kumari (TTI), Pathankot.
Speaking on the achievement, Shri Uchit Singhal, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (Sr. DCM) of Jammu Division, lauded the team’s hard work.
“The PCCM Award is a testament to the tireless efforts and sense of duty shown by our employees. This excellence sets a new benchmark for the entire division. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the winners for their outstanding contribution to the Railways’ success,” said Shri Singhal.
The Commercial Department serves as the “front office” of the Indian Railways, handling everything from ticket sales and passenger queries to complex freight logistics. The recognition of staff from the Kashmir valley sections (Anantnag and Budgam) and the Katra-Jammu corridor highlights the strategic importance of this division in maintaining high service standards in the region.
