Suspected Movement

SAMBA, MAR 11: Border Security Force (BSF) troops opened fire on suspected movement along the International Border (IB) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district late last night.

Official sources said that the incident occurred in the Ghagwal area, where multiple rounds were fired to counter the perceived threat.

The incident took place around 1 AM when a BSF sentry, stationed under the jurisdiction of Ghagwal Police Station, noticed suspicious movement near the border. In response, the sentry fired multiple rounds in the suspected direction to thwart any possible infiltration attempt.

Following the firing, a search operation was launched in the area to rule out any security breach. Senior BSF officials, including DIG BSF, arrived at the spot to assess the situation. The operation is ongoing, and further details are awaited.
