SRINAGAR, FEB 24: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has nominated 10 prominent personalities, including Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, to champion the fight against obesity and promote awareness about reducing edible oil consumption in daily diets.
The list of nominees also features industry leader Anand Mahindra, Chairman of the Mahindra Group.
PM Modi, taking to social media platform X, emphasized the importance of collective action in tackling the growing issue of obesity. “I also request them to nominate 10 people each so that our movement gets bigger,” he posted, calling for a chain reaction of awareness and advocacy.
The initiative aims to create a ripple effect, encouraging healthy eating habits and spreading knowledge about the harmful effects of excessive edible oil consumption.
