JAMMU, FEB 10: Senior IAS officers Dr. Raghav Langer and Sushma Chauhan have been empaneled as Joint Secretaries in the Government of India, among 16 officers selected from the 2009 batch.

Dr. Raghav Langer, a son of the soil, previously served in Jammu and Kashmir on deputation, holding key positions such as Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Secretary Planning, Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, and Deputy Commissioner Kathua.

Sushma Chauhan, an IAS officer of the erstwhile J&K cadre, has served as Deputy Commissioner Jammu and Deputy Commissioner Samba during her tenure.

As per reports, only 16 officers out of a batch of 120 from the 2009 IAS cadre have been empaneled for the prestigious role.

Sources informed TNR 24 Awaz that the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), headed by the Prime Minister, cleared the empanelment file today after an intense six-month-long scrutiny.
