Among the participants, three cadets from the Directorate demonstrated outstanding commitment and skill throughout the course. They include Sgt Anjana Parihar from Government Degree College (GDC), Kishtwar, UG Tofail Jan from Government Degree College (GDC), Doda, and Cadet Laxmi Devi from Government Degree College (GDC), Kathua.
The training began on November 1 with an intensive ground phase focused on the fundamental skills and techniques required for airborne operations. On November 17, cadets were treated to a morale-boosting cultural visit to the Taj Mahal, offering a refreshing break from their rigorous schedule. The ground phase culminated on November 19 with comprehensive tests, including the Ground Training Test and Fan Descent Test, which all cadets successfully passed.
From November 20 to November 22, cadets participated in the highlight of the course—day jumps at the Malpura Drop Zone—where they demonstrated their parachuting skills with precision and confidence. Adding to their experience, Lieutenant General Gurbirpal Singh, Director General of NCC, visited the camp on November 19 and encouraged the cadets with an inspiring address.
The exceptional performance of the cadets reflected the spirit of adventure and determination instilled by the NCC, bringing honor to their colleges and the Directorate. The Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh Directorate commended the efforts of AATS, Agra, and NCC Group Headquarters, Agra, for organizing such a well-structured and impactful training program. This experience has equipped the cadets with invaluable skills and memories that will last a lifetime.
